Philipines importing rice???

I heard it again. We over imported rice during the past few years. Even when they say that millions of poor Filipinos are starving, i do not believe we need to import rice! We have plenty of mismanaged agricultural resources and the point here is for the government to adress the root casue. Importing rice does not solve the problem.. and no one is going to die of hunger if we dont import rice. Hungry people will start to work harder maybe, to be more prudent and stringent maybe. NO ONE IS GOING TO DIE OF HUNGER.

So what's with importing rice??? MONEY. Those greedy businessmen knows there's money in importing rice. It is a simple trade as long as you have government permit. And why would government give permit if they know or at least they have idea that such policy is no good (or did they even think about it)???? The answer is MONEY. This people in the government only think of their commission or "suhol" from this businessmen. You can never rationalise such irresponsible decisions. Much easier for them to consider the easy MONEY than to analyze the problem and come up with permanent long term solution.

All those involved in importing rice... you contributed 10% of this nations corruption.

Party List system

The decision to allow a former president's son to sit in congress as representative of security guards and tricycle drivers is just disgusting!!!! They would refer to the constitution which only provides for the guiding principles. The COMELEC has the power to make sense of this party-list system and yet they're not doing their job. Now maybe I can organize "janitors" association and get a campaign fund and run for congress representing janitors... and waitresses perhaps!

COMELEC is a powerful commission that can lead Philippines to anew beginning. Its just awful people here don't have balls to at least challenge the political tradition and move this country forward.... the future of this country is partly in the COMELEC commissioners hand, if it means death to make a noble decision JUST DO IT... its your job for Christ sake!!!
